Lane Transit District
LTD's Emerald Express (EmX) Bus Rapid Transit system connects west Eugene to the Gateway area in Springfield. The EmX provides spacious and comfortable buses that arrive every ten to fifteen minutes during the week, making it convenient for students to travel between campus destinations and off-campus offices.
To validate fare, LTD requires riders to present a valid pass through the Umo App or by using a Touchpass tap card. LTD’s website can also help you plan your trip, and see which routes serve UO Station.
UMO App
Students can use the Umo Mobility App or a TouchPass card to ride the bus for free. Visit the transportation services website to learn how to access your bus pass.
Park & Ride
Lane Transit District maintains 24 Park & Ride locations around Lane County. Park and Ride allows you to leave your vehicle in a safe, clean lot and ride the bus the rest of the way to work. LTD Park and Rides are free on a first come, first served basis. Overnight parking is not permitted.
Carpool and Rideshare
Duck Rides
Duck Rides provides free and accessible transportation to all university students, staff and faculty. It operates 7 days a week during the academic year from 6pm-12am and can transport up to 12 riders at a time.

Get There Oregon
Get There Oregon provides a variety of services to encourage sustainable transportation in Oregon. It offers personalized trip planning, ride matching services for carpooling and vanpooling, and provides information on public transportation options, including bus and train routes, schedules, and ticket purchase options.
Commute with Enterprise
Commute with Enterprise offers a range of transportation services to commuters, including vanpooling, carpooling, and shuttle services. They also offer a user-friendly app that enables commuters to manage their rides and connect with other riders. Fares are based on the average monthly miles driven, the cost of the vanpool lease, and fuel expenses.
RideSource
Lane Transit District's RideSource program provides transportation services to eligible residents with disabilities or health conditions who cannot use regular bus service. The program offers curb-to-curb service and personal attendant options. Eligible riders must register and provide proof of eligibility.
Zipcar
Zipcar is a car-sharing service available on campus and discounted for UO students. Members can reserve and use a variety of vehicles located on campus for personal or university-related trips. Zipcar membership includes gas, insurance, and 180 miles of driving per day. The service is accessible 24/7, and users can reserve cars for as little as one hour or as long as seven days.
Uber & Lyft
The City of Eugene has approved two ride-hailing companies, Uber and Lyft, to operate in Eugene. To keep traffic through campus as safe and smooth as possible for vehicles, bikes and pedestrians, Transportation Services has designated campus spots for ride-hail pickups.
Parking
Campus Parking Permits
Commuter parking is available to employees, students, and campus associates. Parking lots are divided into 11 different zones by location and offered at three different price points. Permits can be purchased for an Academic Term, 30 Day, or Single Day duration. Permit holders may also park in any unmarked spaces in lower-priced zones. Permits may be shared between individuals as long as only one vehicle is on campus per day. All vehicles must be attached to the permit.
Hourly Parking
The University of Oregon has two parking garages: the 13th Ave Garage and the Millrace Drive Garage. There are also hourly pay-to-park areas located around campus at a rate of $2.00 per hour. Payment can be made at conveniently located kiosks which accept Visa,
MasterCard, AMEX, Discover, bills, and quarters. Payment can also be made with a mobile device through the Parkmobile website.
Eugene Parking Permits
The City of Eugene provides permit parking services for both commuters and residents. Commuter permits are available for those who park downtown during the day, while residents can obtain parking permits for their neighborhoods. Visitors can also purchase temporary parking permits, and there are options for those with disabilities or who require extended parking periods.

UO Bike Program
The UO Bike Program offers affordable bike rentals as well as repair stations around campus. The program also hosts workshops to educate riders on bike maintenance and safety. Additionally, the program has a bike share program that allows students to use bikes for free for short periods.
PeaceHealth Rides Bike Share
PeaceHealth Rides is a bike-sharing service that provides a sustainable and convenient transportation option for short trips in Eugene, Oregon. The service has bikes stationed throughout the city that can be rented on an hourly or monthly basis through the PeaceHealth Rides app.
UO students, faculty and staff are eligible for discounted rates. Those who participate in food assistance plans (SNAP, TANF, WIC), Affordable Housing, or the Oregon Health Plan can ride for free.
