Financial Assistance

UO Childcare Subsidy

Location: Oregon Hall

This student fee funded program provides financial assistance to eligible student parents to help ease the cost of childcare. Eligibility is based on financial need.

Oregon DHS Employment Related Day Care Program

Location: 2885 Chad Dr., Eugene, OR 97408

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (except state holidays)

The State of Oregon can provide families with financial help with childcare costs. ERDC is a subsidy program, meaning eligible families still pay part of the childcare cost. This amount depends on the family’s income, size, and the amount the childcare provider charges.

Oregon Student Child Care Grant

The Oregon Student Child Care Grant Program was established to assist parents enrolled in postsecondary education with obtaining safe, dependable childcare. Eligibility criteria apply.

Ford Opportunity Program Scholarship

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

A scholarship opportunity for Oregon residents who are parents and/or over the age of 25. This is a need-based award, able to cover up to 90% of a student’s unmet financial need with a limit of $25,000 per year.

Campus Childcare Providers

Co-Op Family Center

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.

The Family Center provides childcare at reduced rates for UO students. The Center aims to involve parents in the care and education of their children and provides resources to improve parenting skills. Care includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

Moss Street Children’s Center

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.

Moss Street Children’s Center’s primary mission is to support UO student parents by providing high-quality care for their children while they attend classes. Care includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

Vivian Olum Child Development Center

Location: 1650 Columbia St., Eugene, OR 97403

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.

The Vivian Olum Child Development Center is a comprehensive early childhood care and development program which primarily serves UO faculty and staff. Children of student families may also be admitted as space permits.

Care.com Benefits (for certain UO employees)

Employees and faculty members of the University may be eligible for Care.com Premium as an employee benefit. This online platform helps you connect with caregivers in your area by searching the caregivers' network or posting a caregiver job and screening applicants.

Find Childcare Oregon

Find Child Care Oregon helps families locate childcare through referrals and provides resources to make informed decisions about childcare needs. 211Info is also available to provide high quality referrals to support your childcare search, or you can conduct your own search.
